After Hours GP
The After Hours GP team is a dedicated group of healthcare professionals who provide medical care that is specifically organised to address urgent (non-life threatening) medical needs when traditional primary care services are not available. We aim to offer accessible, timely, and high-quality healthcare services outside of regular clinic hours. We are experienced in managing a wide range of medical conditions, from minor illnesses and injuries to exacerbations of chronic conditions. Our goal is to address immediate healthcare needs, provide appropriate treatment or referral, and ensure continuity of care until patients can follow up with their regular primary care providers. By working collaboratively, the After Hours GP team strives to provide comprehensive medical care, support, and peace of mind to individuals seeking medical assistance after hours.
Services We Offer
General Medical Consultations
Offer consultations for a wide range of acute and non-life-threatening medical conditions such as infections, injuries, minor illnesses, and exacerbations of chronic conditions.
Urgent Care
Provide immediate care for urgent medical issues that require prompt attention, such as minor injuries, lacerations, sprains, and burns.
Pathology Services
In partnership with AMPATH Laboratories we offer on-site laboratory tests including blood work, toxicology, urinalysis and respiratory swabs (e.g. CoViD, Influenza and RSV tests).
Pediatric Care
Our healthcare providers have experience in pediatric medicine to cater to children’s medical needs during after-hours periods.
Wound Care & Sutures
We are able to provide wound care including wound cleaning and closure, dressing changes and suturing on site.

Do you need to make a booking?
Yes, we work by appoint only!
Do you accept walk in patients?
Yes, however booked patients will always take priority which may mean long waiting times if we do not have any immediately available appointment slots.
Which doctors work at After Hours GP?
The After Hours GP is owned and operated by Dr O’Reilly and Partners INC (Practice number: 1099590). Doctors employed by the practice will attend to patients.

The After Hours GP team is a dedicated group of healthcare professionals who provide medical care that is specifically organised to address urgent (non-life threatening) medical needs when traditional primary care services are not available.
Do you accept Medical Aids?
Dr O’Reilly and Partners is NOT contracted to any medical aid scheme, we are a cash practice. This means that patients are personally liable for settlement of account fees immediately on completion of the service. Patients can then submit their invoices to their particular medical aids so that they can be reimbursed for the service at their medical aid scheme rate. Please bear in mind that we charge all patients the same fees for service, these fees may or may not be in line every medical aid scheme rate in South Africa.
What are the costs of a consultation?
In room fee: R950 (R700 consultation + R250 after hours fee)
Note: consultation fees do not include procedures, medication, or additional services
